At our August dinner, Past District Governor Alan Sheath had planned to award both Tony Blair & Dave Downie Melvin Jones Fellowships for their continued and unflagging commitment to Service with our club, but Dave had other commitments on that evening and couldn’t attend, so Alan presented only Tony with his Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
Alan then asked all present to maintain secrecy in order to surprise Dave at our September dinner, (which seemed to work as any member who missed our August dinner meeting would have been unaware of Tony’s award.
